Challenge on Frosted Designs

This week on Frosted Design it was to use a banner. Also for a challenge on Tara's blog was to make a layout or card that was mostly green.

I made the invitations for my granddaughter's birthday and saved one for myself.
I cut the grass from a QK die and the trees are from a sizzix die. Used a sizzix die for the mushrooms at the bottom and MS punch for the butterflies. The banner is from Cosco Cricket. TFL

A challenge on Chop Suey

The challenge at Chop Suey is to use stamps on your card or layout. I used the wave stamps at the bottom and stamps along the side of the photo. Then I stamped onto foam and cut out the shells.

Challenge on Frosted Designs

This time the challenge on Frosted Designs was to use certain colors, in the lavender-purple range. My friend Jackie made me the beautiful flowers on the layout. Thanks again Jackie I love them.

Card challenges at SOS

I am doing the card challenges at Sisterhood of Scrap this month. The first challenge was to layer one image on top of another. I printed and then cut out the knight for the card. It was my grandson birthday card.

The second challenge is do to a card using Iris paper folding. Come on over and give some of the challenges a try. The ladies are just the greatest and have some awesome ideas as well.

Challenge at Frosted Designs

I used knee high nylons to make the brown flowers. I cut, sewed and then sprayed them darker brown. Can't let something good get thrown away.

Challenge at Chop Suey

The challenge at Chop Suey is to use tape, any kind of tape, on your layout. The flowers are made with tape, at least the part that is red is. I applied the tape to cardstock and then cut them out with my sizzix. Very fun challenge.

It also fits a challenge at Sisterhood of Scrap for Norine's Happy Birthday Dr Suess challenge. The title is a quote by Dr. Suess. My granddaughter wasn't too thrilled to be going to the Daddy-Daughter Dance. Once she got there she loved it and had a great time.

Thanks for looking.

Another March Wind challenge at Sisterhood of Scrap

Chris' challenge on Sisterhood of Scrap is:

Did you know that March is Music in your Schools month???

So for this month I want you to create a project (card, layout, ATC card or altered item) celebrating music. This can be by using music papers, ribbons, song titles or even lyrics from your favorite songs.

I saw an idea like this in a magazine and they used Tim Holtz tape and since I didn't have that I used real sheet music to make my eggs. Thanks for looking.

Come play some of the March Wind challenges at Sisterhood of Scrap

We are having some March Wind challenges over at Sisterhood of Scrap. One of my challenges was the First Day of Spring.

Spring to me says windy days, so that means something flying, I chose a kite but want to see what you come up with. Also green grass starts showing up so your layout should be mostly green and of course the animals like to get outside as well so throw in some kind of animal and you know me, it is going to have to have some flowers as well.

My second challenge is a really fun challenge and remember I like to shake things up a bit. It is National Buzzard Day so this is my challenge.

So for Buzzard day this is what your layout needs:

1. Some kind of splatter on it, either paint, mist or ink
2. Feathers
3. One strip of pp
4. One Photo matted
5. A Flower

Phil told me these were all stretching the limits and I should explain my thoughts, 1. is for when the animal is killed and splattered all over the road, mean buzzard supper.
2. Buzzards have feathers, right?
3. is for the stripe down the middle of the road.
4. One photo matted, the dead animals on top of the road.
5. Rest in peace departed animal.

Are you brave enough to come on over and try some of the challenges??
